Forensic Computer Examiner Training Boot Camp
The goal of this six-day accelerated information security course is to educate cybercrime investigators in the
techniques of computer forensics investigation. During the program, students will live, learn, and take certification examinations at one of our state-of-the-art education
centers. This blended-learning program employs outcome-based (Lecture | Lab | Review) delivery - that focuses on preparing you with the real-world skills required to pass the
Certified Computer Examiner examination.
The computer examiner course will teach you the core forensic procedures that will apply to examining any operating system or file system. During our course, we
provide instruction on the logical structures of the FAT file system utilized by DOS and Windows 9.x and the NTFS logical structures utilized by Windows NT, 2000 and XP.
The NTFS section provides instruction about the partition table, the boot record, bitmaps, the root directory, the MFT, headers, attributes, resident files, non-resident files, run lists, etc.
Our training focus is not only on forensic recovery techniques, but on ensuring that what you find can be admitted in court. You will learn how to establish and use sound evidence handling procedures and how
to conduct examinations using sound forensic examination procedures.
Our Computer Forensics Program:
Helps students grasp complex technical concepts more easily by identifying and catering to individual student learning styles through a mixed visual, auditory and kinesthetic-tactual delivery system
Enhances retention by employing accelerated learning techniques focused on committing information to long-term memory
Allows you to achieve your certification in half the time of 'traditional training' while delivering industry-leading exam passing percentages
With InfoSec Academy, you will learn more. effectively. efficiently.
Computer Forensic Camp: Exam Track
The initial Computer Certified Examiner certification, the CCE, is non-operating system specific. The initial testing will focus on whether the examiner uses sound evidence handling procedures and sound
forensic examinations procedures when conducting examinations and that the examiner has a general knowledge of computers and common files and issues. The initial CCE certification will require the
actual examination of media. The operating system specific endorsements will only require online examinations.
Various operating system specific endorsements are available. Endorsements include:
- The Microsoft FAT (Windows 95/98) operating systems and forensic issues related to those operating systems.
- The Microsoft NTFS (Windows NT/2000/XP) operating systems and forensic issues related to those operating systems.
- The Unix/Linux operating systems and forensic issues related to those operating systems.
- The MAC/Apple operating systems and forensic issues related to those operating systems.
Those CCEs who obtain three or more operating system endorsements will become Master Certified
Computer Examiners (MCCE).
