The 2nd course teaches basic and intermediate skills needed to create interactive Web sites using Dreamweaver

Part 3 teaches skills needed to create database-driven Web sites using Dreamweaver UltraDev and ASP, ColdFusion, or JSP.

Flash 5 Course Curriculum

Unit 1: Flash 5: An Introduction
1 - 2 hours

• Identify the elements of the Flash 5 interface used in a specified situation.
• Set Flash 5 preferences by using the menu bar.
• Set the properties of a Flash 5 movie by using the menu bar.
• Preview a specified Flash 5 movie by using the menu bar.

Unit 2: Flash 5: Symbols, Objects, and Graphics

• Modify the properties of a bitmap by using the Import dialog box.
• Convert a bitmap into a vector graphic by using the menu bar.

Unit 3: Flash 5: Layers, Animation, and Buttons

• Modify the properties of a layer by using the context menu.
• Create frame-by-frame animation by using the Onion Skin technique.
• Create motion-tweened animation in a predefined path by using the menu bar.
• Create shape-tweened animation by using the Window menu.
• Create an animation by using the masking technique.
• Add audio to an animation by using the menu bar.
• Modify the state of a button by using the Timeline.
• Assign an action to a button by using the menu bar.

Unit 4: Flash 5: Optimizing and Publishing

• Match the guideline for optimizing a movie with the situation in which the guideline should be followed.
• Display the download performance of a movie by using the Bandwidth Profiler.
• Compress an audio file by using the context menu.
• Set publishing options for a movie by using the menu bar.
