- CTX-3020 or CTX-3021 — Citrix MetaFrame Administration for UNIX
- CTX-181 — Citrix WinFrame Administration
Take and pass one of the following exams:
- Exam 220 — Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0 for Windows
- Exam 218 — Citrix MetaFrame 1.8 for Windows
- Exam 310 — Citrix MetaFrame 1.0 or 1.1 for UNIX Operating Systems
- Exam 118 — Citrix WinFrame
Citrix Certified Administrators are industry professionals who have demonstrated a thorough
knowledge of the MetaFrame or WinFrame products by passing a Citrix certification exam delivered at an authorized Sylvan Prometric testing center. There are four exams available,
CCA for WinFrame 1.8, CCA for MetaFrame 1.8, CCA for WinFrame 1.7, and CCA for MetaFrame 1.0.
CTX-302.2: MetaFrame Administration
Course Description: This three-day course provides students with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform advanced administrative tasks in a Citrix MetaFrame environment.
Students receive in-depth training on MetaFrame's enterprise-scale management, heterogeneous client and network connectivity, as well as seamless desktop capabilities. It
covers such topics as performance optimization, load balancing and advanced system management. It also provides students with the prerequisite knowledge and skills required
for future continuing education courses and are the preparation for the Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA) for MetaFrame 1.8 certification exam. Class Schedules
At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Install MetaFrame and Citrix ICA Clients in a variety of network environments.
- Install Microsoft Windows NT Server version 4.0 Terminal Server Edition
- Configure seamless desktop integration for ICA Clients.
- Implement advanced ICA Client features such as ReadyConnect, Automatic Client Update, TAPI Emulation and SecureICA.
- Use the Program Neighborhood Client to connect to applications on local and remote networks.
- Configure user accounts, user profiles and system policies.
- Install applications in the MetaFrame multi-user environment.
- Use various MetaFrame utilities to administer MetaFrame servers, shadow ICA connections, measure bandwidth utilization, and more.
- Implement server farms, publish applications inside and outside of server farms, and migrate published applications.
- Configure ICA browser settings, ICA gateways and load balancing for MetaFrame servers.
- Configure Application Launching and Embedding (ALE) with the ICA Web Clients.
- Monitor and troubleshoot a MetaFrame server.
MetaFrame Certification Preparation: This course (CTX-302.2 MetaFrame Administration) is the best preparation for the Citrix Certified Administrator for MetaFrame
1.8 exam. The CCA for MetaFrame exam is provided through Sylvan Prometric Testing Centers.
